Our Trip To Omaha

Last week we went to Omaha NE. We visited some cool places and spent Christmas there. It was really exciting and I enjoyed it. Though all thanks to my Mom and Dad's friends from college named 丹丹/dan dan and 张弛/zhang chi. This is a writing from my point of view of what we did.

On the day we came it was already the evening and our parents got ready the food. I OF COURSE didn't act like Nathan. I took Hershey off the car and cared for her. The 2 boys named Ian and Niles were 3 1/2 and 5. Ian was probably the only one interested in my hamster. He thought Hershey was really cute. Then after we ate dinner we all played for a while and went to sleep. Though before going to sleep 丹丹阿姨 set out cookies for Santa. Except I didn't believe in Santa, but if Ian and Niles still believed in him I had to follow along.

The next morning I woke up and quietly waited in bed. After a few minutes I couldn't take it anymore, I woke up and walked up stairs. To my surprise they were already wake waiting for us to open our presents. Then I called Nathan up and we all opened our presents. I got a small heart box with 2 sparkling hair clips inside shaped like a snowflake and a crown plus a necklace. Nathan and Ian got 'hot wheel' cars and Niles got 2 blue angel planes. We then settled down and ate breakfast. 张弛叔叔made me some noodles and I ate noodles for breakfast. Then since it was Christmas we went nowhere except for an asian restaurant.

Then came zo0 day. We went to the Henry Doorly Zoo And Aquarium located in Omaha. It only took about 15-20 minutes to get there since they lived in the city Omaha. After, we got into the zoo we went to the jungle part. We saw a lot of monkeys and birds. There were also some bats, tapirs, and other cool animals. Soon it was already lunch time and we went to the indoor cafeteria when we ordered our pizzas from another place. The grown-ups all had sandwiches and pizza left for the kids. We went to go see the last few exhibits and habitats and went to the IMAX station to watch a movie about sea life. 丹丹阿姨 and 张弛叔叔 were really nice and decided they would take care of Ian while we could have a little fun. We went to the last exhibit and the last exhibit was probably the stinkiest one. It was the desert habitat. Then Ian and Niles' Mom and Dad thought we should go to ' THE AMAZING PIZZA MACHINE' !

We came to the only pizza machine place in the US! Our parents went to go get us the cards which helped us keep track of our points and points to spend. I was so happy, I played a ton of games and won up to 144 points! Plus 10 extra I earned on my brother's card. It was really cool. There were cards that you had and they would keep record of your points. I got magic disappearing ink and glow in the dark cosmic stick ups just for 140 points! The manager rounded it down so I wouldn't have to try and earn more points to get and equal amount. Though before I bought my prizes we went to the buffet at the back. I ate 3 slices of pizza, a bowl of pasta, some veggies, and ice cream! Soon it was time to go home.

It was kind of the last day for us and we went to a children's museum. It wasn't that high leveled, but still pretty good. There was a bubble show going on and I thought it was pretty interesting. I didn't know if you used special gloves you could touch the bubble!!!! Well, pretty much it.

The next day we went home! 丹丹阿姨 and 张弛叔叔 carried Ian and Niles in blankets to wave good bye. And on the way did a lot of other cool things.

That was my story of my trip to Omaha!

My Christmas Present

This year I got a really good christmas present it was a Big Art Kit!!!!!!!!! It folds and unfolds into a case and a 3-D pop up art thing!

 It includes :
watercolors
 oils
watercolor pencils
colored pencils
acrylics
oil pastels
1 pencil sharpener
6 paintbrushes
2 mixing templates
 1 water bowl
1 eraser
1 tools and techniques book

This present was the present I asked for. My little brother got a marble run and I made everyone else something awesome! This was a really good Christmas and I'll tell you how.

We are going to Omaha and this year we won't be at home. I really wanted to be at home, but guess what. So, I thought if I wanted a present I should get it a little earlier instead of later. Then I decided to set the plan into action. First I went online to find what I want and of course I want a craft thing so I went to Michaels.com . Then BOOM : ) I found something! Which was the Kit thingy.

Then I had to write a nice note so I could persuade Daddy to get me what I wanted, even though I know he'll definitely get it for me.

Next I had to hide the note somewhere he would usually go and we would usually not. At first I thought of the bathroom, but it would probably be to easy to find. And if I hid it in his shaving drawer it would take forever for him to shave his beard again to find the note. After a day I thought of his drawer where he put his clothes. He would find it in the morning.

DING DING!!!THE NEXT MORNING I GOT WHAT I WANTED/ today !!!! Now I'm writing this and we're getting ready for Omaha! I'll tell you what it's like in my next post.

Making Gingerbread Houses At May And Gayla's House

On Sunday I went to May's and Gayla's house to make a gingerbread house.
There were 9 kids there:
May/Gayla's B sis
Gayla/May's L sis
Sophie/Me
Ryan/Steven's B bro
Steven/Ryan's L bro
Steven/1:00 younger Twin
Lauren/1:00 older Twin
Anwen
Richard
It was really fun, we all got different kinds of gingerbread house making kits. We all made something cool. There were different sets of kits that we used, but to plan it all out we did a raffle. The designs were really cool and everything was a great success except for the frosting.

The other part [playing Ryan's game] was not fun. He was mean to the 2 Stevens and everyone followed him. He was a preteen and being the oldest out of all of them he had to be a good leader. I think it wasn't really fair, so I was on both teams.

Then we watched Harry Potter, it was pretty good. I got 3 slices of Alfredo pizza and then everyone said goodbye.

Our AWANA bake sale!

At our Awana bake sale we raised up to $209.81 and almost sold everything out in one night! This is how it went.

First, Sobe/Awana leader said that we needed to wash our hands and load the food on to the tables. Then we started to make our signs I was the one who wrote them and everyone else matched the prices. We were all in charge of different things and the bake sale begun. Our family made the rice muffins, though they were kind of messed up. So to make it up we also made some Angel Food Cake. Every one liked it a lot and a girl named Yingqi said it tasted SUPER good. That I was happy about. [That was when the bake sale already started.]

Our first costumer came and it bought some eggs and the porridge that Sobe made. It was really good!!! There were Richard's cake rolls, [that I didn't get to taste] jello, tropical fruit, lemon cake, regular baked bread, and tons of other stuff.

Soon we raised more and more. I was really glad that we got that much money. We needed to handle money the food and the costumers. There were still stuff left to sell on the table. Wenhao/another Awana leader decided we should bring down the price to 50% off or only $1.  After almost everything was sold out. We counted the money and all of our hard work goes into good.

That was our bake sale.

recipe: sweet rice muffin

Sophie is going to do a bake sale with her class. I am trying to make something that will sale.
We have tried to make the muffin. Definitely delicious. But I want to make some changes to the recipe.

Ingredients:4 eggs (I would use only 2 eggs),1/3 cup sugar,1/2 cup cooking oil (I feel this is too much. Maybe 1/4 cup is enough),~ 2 cups (0.5lb)sweet rice flour (maybe called sticky rice, glutinous rice) ,1/2 cup milk,1 teaspoon baking powder

0. Preheat oven to 375°F
1. mix rice flour and baking powder
2. mix eggs, milk, cooking oil and sugar
3. add mix 2 into mix 1, mix well
4. put mix into paper cups
5. bake 20 minutes or until the muffins turn golden color.

They were a great success!!!! People liked it

We made better ones a few weeks ago! They looked way better than the ones before.

How Hershey Is Doing Now

Now Hershey is having a lot of fun! We got her a new wheel probably a month ago instead of using the tiny robo one. Now she completely takes over the whole space of the little wheel and I'm glad she has a new wheel. Hershey is doing really well now and is getting used to being handled. I think my friends really want to see her since they've been asking me all the time if I will bring her to the classroom. I love pets!

She is really healthy and I think she might live for about a year! I really hope she does because Hershey is the funnest pet I have ever had. I think she likes having me as her owner and loves how much I care for her. I love pets!

My BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB[ way more B's than that ]FF is SAMANTHA!!!!!!!!!!! She's the only friend I've never given up to, my other friends are aways only friends. You get the point. Though I'll always want to make friends with others unless I want to.

11/6/14
Now I have a really good friend who is going back to Korea in January! Her name is Soejung and she's my best friend ever that I've met in Kansas! It's so sad, I really don't think any of the kids count as my best friend. Though I like this other girl too that's name is Alicia. Plus, for some kids that don't have friends, recess is like a torture for them! So, I want to find a good friend that really likes me and that I like her. I hope that I will find one like Seojung.

10-6-16
Now i moved to New Jersey so now i made new friends and i miss my friends in Lawrence VERY much

Sometimes

Sometimes I really don't like my little brother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He's really annoying. And when I mean annoying I mean annoying! He gets into my things and cries for nothing! Sometimes I really don't like my brother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't feel bad for my brother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really don't feel bad for him, I'm actually pretty happy because usually he's the one who cries. It's always his fault, and even though he's behind from all the surgery, I don't care if he cries. He even tells lies! I don't feel bad for my brother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He tries to make me feel better, but that doesn't help at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now he tries to make it up to me, but I said that I don't care. Oh maybe he's my brother, but sometimes I just don't like him. I just wish I could fly away and soar through the air. He tries to make me feel better, but that doesn't help at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is just sometimes, sometimes, sometimes. Now I'll tell you the other side and it's kind of the opposite. Of all the bad things that I said.

Sometimes he's really funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He can copy all I do, it can happen at just any time does that happen to you? It sometimes takes awhile while he really makes me mad, but it doesn't really matter until I get really sad. Sometimes he's really funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like him to stay sometimes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Especially in bed, I like it when I have company or a dream up in my head. He really makes me think that I'm not by my self, he just makes me think oh take a book from the shelf. I like him to stay sometimes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is sometimes about my brother, but I love him anyway!

Awana/ Approved workmen are not ashamed

Today I get to go to Awana which is at church. Awana as you saw in my title stands for approved workmen are not ashamed.  My group is T&T which stands for Truth and Training. We have 4 groups that earn points together for certain things like wearing your uniform and bringing your handbook. Also, for the number of sections you do which will be explained later. The possible points earned at a time is 500, 100, and 300. If you bring a visitor that equals 2,500 points! Now the routine goes like this:

Get to Awana and sing the Awana song and pledge.
Start handbook time
Game time
Council time
Ending meet up

Now, you are probably wondering what is all that stuff? Well, getting to Awana is just like getting to school , then when we sing our theme song and say our pledge.
This is our theme song:

Firmly Awana stands
Led by the Lord's commands
"Approved workmen are not ashamed"
Boys and girls for his service claimed!
Hail! Awana! On the march for youth
Hail! Awana! Holding forth the truth.
Building lives on the Word of God Awana stands!

Our savior following
With steps unfaltering
And love unaltering
His praise we sing
His banner over us
In service glorious
We'll fight victorious
For Christ our King!

YOUTH ON THE MARCH!

Now you're probably wondering what handbook time is. Handbook time is where we memorize verses and complete exercises on our knowledge about Jesus. The maximum is 5 sections. They usually make you do a couple of exercises or more and [they usually have you memorize something] then you need to show your leader. Your leader will sign it and date it if they think you did good and then the rest is where the ending meet up happens.

Then comes game time! We play a certain game and team up to play games and the winning team gets points.

Council time is next, we focus on a topic about some one and talk about things that the bible tells us and all the good things about what God did and told us.

The ending meet up is where we get money/shares for what we have earned when we worked in our handbook and other stuff. Which at the "very end" of the Awana semester we'll have a carnival which costs shares to play the games. Of course we pray too. Once everybody is announced we will announce which team won the most points during Awana. Here are the amount of shares you get.

#1= 5 shares
#2=3 shares
#3=2 shares
#4=1 share

Then we get to stay for a while. Awana is cool!

[From a Few Days Ago] Pizza From Costco

Remember when I told you going to "Costco" was a different story. From the farm stead post? Well, anyway I'll tell you my story from there. When we got on the car my parents told me that me and Nathan/my bro would get to get lunch from "Costco" I was starting to get really hungry, though it was a short trip since farm stead was in Overland park [a city] and "Costco" was in Overland park too we would be able to get there in just a few minutes.

Then we were at "Costco" my little brother just sat down in a seat and wanted food. Though we had to order our food first. My mom, dad, and grandparents [mom's side] ate the food they brought with them and I got a really good slice of pizza! I was full after I ate the slice of pizza. My little bro didn't finish his because he has a small belly.

Then my little bro was attracted by an air heater that had some streamers in front of it to make it look cool. The lady who was trying to advertise said "Oh! Do you like this? Why don't you let daddy buy it for you!" I was pretty surprised that she said that, but I guess that's how grow-ups use little kids.

After, we decided that we needed to go do a little more shopping and my dad took us to the book area so we can read books. I was happy that I got to read the new book of a series that I like to read. I almost got to finish it, but I couldn't finish the whole thing in that little time. We also got to taste a lot of things. Dark chocolate covered blueberries, potato chips, and an eco vitamin drink. Then it was time to go.

    [small ending]
I hope you like this post! [It is based on a true story!]

Writing again/ Farm stead

Yesterday, my family went to Farm stead. It is a kid friendly farm where kids get to play with animals and learn about those times. We had a lot of fun there and we got to do a lot of fun things with the animals.
We got off the car and went to buy tickets. $2 per person on holidays, Fridays and Weekends. After we got in to the park my little bro just ran to the playground. Sometimes I really don't think he likes animals that much. Well, anyway we eventually went into the dairy barn. Nathan didn't really look at the goats and cows, he was thinking somewhere off topic not about farm animals.

Then we finally got him moving, we went to the small town where they would tell you some historical facts about those places. Like at the barber. People could get a tooth pulled there! It was pretty interesting, though it was hard to pay attention when my little bro kept on running around. And there was also a few other places that we decided to skip.

Then we decided to ride tractor trikes, only Nathan though. I told my brother he could go ride tractor trikes. That was probably enough to make him follow me, because he did. Once we got there the goat feeding area was right next to the tractor trikes. I was really jealous that I didn't get to feed the goats with the milk bottles. When I asked my mom she said I needed to go check the price. It was $1 for each milk bottle, my mom said since it was only $1 she would buy it for me. And that $1 dollar was spent. I was so happy I went right in. It was REALLY FUN!!! One climbed on me though I didn't mind. It was the best part of the trip! Soon my bottle was empty, and I gave it to a staff.

My little bro was going to ride a horse. Even though I wanted to go I thought it really isn't worth it. $3 for each ride, it was pretty expensive. I was glad we were at farm stead.

We also went to the garden, the petting pen the duck area, the fish area and all those other places. That was our trip that I would never forget. Even the part where we hit traffic for 40 min. and had to turn around. The eating pizza/lunch at costco part was another story.

Space Jam!

Remember when I told you I was going to see the movie 'Space Jam' well I saw it that evening. though I need to tell you 1 more thing, I didn't watch the whole thing so don't be satisfied that I didn't tell you the whole thing. Now listen...
That evening we went to the Downtown Lawrence to the library. We didn't go there for books, it really had nothing to do with the library at all! We went there to watch a movie.
We  had to wait for a while so we stood in line and waited for some popcorn. [luckily the popcorn was free] Then when I was thirsty, I quickly went into the library before it was closing. And after we got a good long drink I saw the balloon man, and decided to go and get a balloon. He asked me what did I want, and I said I wanted a ladybug that I could wear on my wrist. He made 1 for me and then my little brother asked for 1. My little brother wanted an airplane, and he made it right in a jiffy. He was a very talented balloon maker. He could make tons of things! He can even make a hot dog! While we were waiting they were announcing prizes. Then when the movie was about to start. The balloon man left and we watched the movie.
The movie was mainly about when the cartoon 'bunny bugs' needed help to win the aliens or else they would be prisoners for the aliens fun land. The 'bunny bugs' thought the aliens were small. And challenged them to basketball, so they went to see a basketball game and sucked up all the good players talent. And when their match happend the tiny aliens were huge monsters and it was up to Michael Jordan to help them. So, they sucked him up a golf hole when he was playing golf. And one of the guys he was playing with found a way in to the cartoon and was a cheer person. He also skeeked up on the aliens and........
SORRY!!!! That was all I got up to. Bye!!!! I hope you enjoyed it anyway.

The Day Before Yesterday / Introducing on real paper/ Not a real post

I had a play date with my friends that I went ice skating with. And it was fun. The End
I had a great time with my friends and we played outside, played restaurant, and ate dinner together. It's fun! This is really a showing of sometimes what I do.

Today a day at home 9/15/14

I'm back! Writing a post again, today there is no school. Though it's only today on Monday, My mom is probably very happy that we're at home with her. I'm going to tell you what I did today. Ready? Good, start reading.
When I woke up it was a bright early morning, I changed into my clothes, then fed my hamster, did my hair and went into the kitchen. I had a bowl of cereal, and a waffle. After my dad left and I waved goodbye my mom decided that we should go to the library to return books. I was the one who was getting ready to go to the library, my brother just cheering and laughing.
Once we got there I went to return the books in the automatic slot, my little bro watched the machine sort the books. I went to check out my books, while my mom checked out books for my brother. I think he shouldn't just run off to the children play corner. When we were done I went to go check the books out. After, we needed get my bro to leave. So, my mom decided to tell him we were going to 'pet world' because I wanted to go. We got him to go and went to 'pet world'.
There were new baby golden hamsters. I think they were very cute. One of the hamsters peed on me, luckily there was a sink with soap. I quickly washed my hands and we decided to leave.
When we got home I practiced piano, and then we had lunch. I fed my little bro and finished mine. My mom said we could watch T.V. for a while, so we did. She said since it was starting to rain a teeny tiny bit, we needed to bring the clothes inside and then we put them away. She told me to turn the radio on. I did. Then she read stories to Nathan.
And then I've decided to tell you what has happend. I'm going to swimming class later and that's it. I'll tell you what happend later once it has happened.

        10/15/14
I didn't tell you about swimming because I forgot though I think I wrote one about one of my swimming classes. Now I'm supposed to be able to go to level 4 on swimming.

We got fish from the pet store! 8/31/14

Today after I went to go and play piano, we went to the pet store. I wanted to go to and see the Feature Creature. And go play with the hamsters.
When I got there I found out Tara was there. She was gonna watch Feature Creature too. At first before I decided that I should play with the hamsters. Though there were only new black bear hamsters, and dwarf hamsters that you could play with. The dwarf hamsters they had were the ones with red eyes and my mom didn't like red eyes. And then the call for Feature Creature came.
They were presenting hermit crabs, crabs, and cray fish. They were all pretty cool. We got to hold the hermit crab because it wasn't as shy as the crab. After it was over, I went to play with the hamsters while my mom was talking to Tara's mom when they were getting fish for their pond. I didn't notice, though at least my mom did. She found out a dozen gold fish was only $1.60! We decided to buy it because we were thinking of my grandpa, he loved to go fishing. (dad's side) We also bought some food so at least we could keep some of them. I was glad we got fish!
When we went home my dad was really suprised. He was like WHAT!!!!! And I explained to him and my grandpa. Though my grandpa said that they were pets and that until they died he would use them. And that's the story of how I got my fish.

10/17/14
They all died after 2 days! Too bad, So sad.

No ICE SKATING this week!

I love to ice skate now. Though since this is a three day weekend, we don't get to go ice skating. All because those people want vacation, on Labor Day! I thought summer was only 3 weeks ago. Shouldn't they be tired of it? Unless they are REALLY EAGER to go on vacation.
Well that was enough of my complaining. I think I should start telling you what happend last week.
When it was time to go ice skate, I was really nervous and excited. Me and my family got there first, so we waited for our other friends Richard, May,and Gayla. I was happy once I got on my ice skates. And we got on the ice.
We grabbed onto the bar and once our teacher told us that we needed to stop holding on to the side only 1 girl who was as old as me started crying. Not to mention my little brother was scared to, and started crying.
I got into my personal bubble my teacher drew for me. And we went to the other side and back just to get warmed up. Our teacher also taught us how to do some simple obstacles. Our class was over, we got stickers and we decided that we would skate for 15 extra min. they gave to us to practice.
My little brother didn't go any more from that point on. We all had lunch because we were hungry and we wanted to skate in the public session. My family left to go buy groceries and said I needed to go home with May and Gayla. Or Richard. The session was 2 hours. Though we got cut short early because May accidentally hit her stomach when she fell down. Gayla was acctually the real person who helped me. It was time to go home and I went with Gayla and May.
They changed their pants on the car. And we dropped off a girls mom. Then we went to their house and watched Charlotte's Web. It was almost time to eat dinner and my parents didn't come until the last min. I was a little dissapointed that I didn't get to have dinner with my friends, though my mom said next time. And I hope she really means it. Because I really want to.

I'm Going To Go Ice Skating!

There's almost 1/2 an hour left till we go skating. I don't know how to skate, but I'm going to the classes that my mom signed us/me and my little brother up for. My friends are going too, their names are: May, Gayla, and Richard. My little brother is scared, so I have to stay with him and I also have to learn. After we're going to skate some more once were done with our classes. That's all I know and that took me 5 min. so only 25 more min.

Hard to get used to

School started less than a week ago. I find it is actually a bit hard to get used to staying home without the kids.
I should enjoy my time :-)

Finally Another PET!!!!

Yesterday, I was thinking all about getting a hamster, I didn't want to mention it to my parents. I thought maybe they would say that I should stop focusing on getting a pet, I already know I should've stopped thinking about it.
My dad found out after I was done playing piano, he saw me looking at the clock once in a while, looking miserable. Then he realized it was Sunday. He knew that all these days when ever I had a chance to go to 'pet world' I would go, always hoping there were new baby hamsters so that my mom could agree. [She said that it's best to have baby ones because they have just started a new life and they will live longer.] Then he asked " You want to go and take a look at 'pet world' and see? ". [I thought it was very nice of him to ask] I nodded my head and told him that I've been wanting a new hamster ever since my Marshmallow said good-bye. He understood that this was the time that kids wanted pets.
We talked about it with my mom, she didn't have 1 concern. She told me that I could have any hamster I wanted, I was soooooo happy! Though she did say that we should call first, every time we went there no new baby hamsters. I called and they said there were only new fancy hamsters. Then I thanked her and I told my mom. Then she said Daddy would take Me, Nathan, and Grandpa to the pet store. She would have gone, but she has a meeting. I lay there on the bed, still and quiet. I spoke up and told them quietly in english that, Grandpa would always complain and he would scold and yell at me! I started to get all teary eyed, just talking about him made me cry! Sometimes old people don't really care about what the kids want, they just think about the kids needs and never really play with them! Well that's the problem with the "pa's". My Grandmas are the people that understand me more. I love both of them! They always make sure you stay happy! That is why you need both grandparents to take care of you.
After, we decided that we would get the robo, or dwarf. We sneaked outside without Grandpa knowing, and we got on the car. Once I got there I hopped out the car and dashed into the store. I was really happy! [Especially because grandpa didn't come with us, I was really glad that didn't happen.] Nathan always wanted to go and look at the fish, I don't know why he likes them, but if he wants to see them we just need to find any near by pet store. There were a few kids holding reptiles in one corner, I held a baby turtle. It was really nice. It was great we were just on time to go to feature creature. They were doing it about salamanders, we got to learn why they are bright colored and learned about their habitats. We also got to touch them, they were slimy and my little brother thought it was funny. My dad didn't touch it because he didn't want to get his hands dirty. Then we finally got to choose our pet hammy! I asked for a robo, but all of the robo hamsters had jumped from the staff member's hand. She wanted me to get the last dwarf hamster so they could get new dwarf hamsters. Then I remembered that the call said there are new baby fancy hamsters. So, I decided to get a fancy hamster. I know that they will grow big, but I still got the small one. She put the hamster in a box, we got in the car. She kept on poking her nose out of the air holes. It was funny.
I got home opened the door to the kitchen, my grandpa just stared. We got home and my face lit up when I went into my mom's room. She looked sooooo suprised! We opened up the box in her cage and she looked at the hamster, she was so happy! I was glad, though she wasn't finished with her meeting. You can tell it's an online meeting. And when she was done she was delighted! My dad was talking in the kitchen with my grandpa, he was angry because we got another hamster. " That's why we didn't take you! " He told my grandpa. We thought of the name Hershy, but my mom said maybe we could name her Reese's, and I said maybe Kit-Kat. That made my mom think of chocolate and she let every one have 2 pieces. We decided to name her Hershey. And we talked about her for the rest of the day.
This was one of the best days! I hope you liked the story.

My B.F.F!!!!!!

I have this awesome B.F.F that I had to leave, because I needed to go to Kansas. It was because of my dads job, I miss her soooooo much! She is the best.
I first met her when I was in 2nd grade. She was soooo cute when I met her, I thought she looked very little when I met her. Now she looks sooooo big after the first time I saw her. We had awesome times together! I really miss her.

First days of school

Today was the first day of school. I had an okay day, though it wasn't bad.
It all started when we needed to go to the cafeteria, I needed to wait for my teacher to come. Though then I found out I was the only one in my class waiting in the cafeteria. Nobody really cared, so I sat down and started working on the cross word puzzle that we had on our desk. I found almost everyone's name except for a girl named 'Alicia'. We have those every day.
Then our teacher told us to sort our school supplies, we share most of our school supplies with each other and we keep all of the things on our desk. We keep them on the top of our desks because we don't have desks that we can put all of our stuff in, so we share them, keep them in our art cubbies or it goes on your desk. The schools here is very different from Maryland.
We also went on a scavenger hunt around the classroom. We were looking for different things around the classroom. I almost got every thing except for the white boards.
I made a B.F.F in just 3 DAYS!!! Her name is Adia, though I still like Samantha the best. I think I'll write about her once I'm done with this post.
We did class meetings, and we do lots of math games.  She needs to test us and find out what we know, so the first 3 days we take tests and just play games. Real school starts after the first few days.
Now that every one knows my name, except for Bowen [a boy at church], he always calls me Sophia. I don't think it really matters, but I think I'll tell him next week at church. There's a boy in my school who is at my church too. He went to Germany for 1 year, though that happend when I was still in Maryland. He came back this year when I was new to my school.
I think this is off to a great start!

10/15/14
Now Alicia is my best friend and when I was the only one staying in the cafeteria in my class I was actually the only one in my grade! Now I know everyone and I know I'm supposed be in the gym.

Back to mommy

I can tell you those things! I might forget, though I'll tell you when I can. Then tell me if you really want me to do it.

(Almost) every parent is talking about kids starting school now (by mommy)

First day of Kindergarten for Nathan. This morning, Sophie and Nathan walked to school hand in hand. I am so worried about Nathan. Will he be fine the in school? Will he get lunch? Will he listen to his teacher? Can't wait till he come back home.

Easier to say than to do (by mommy)

Everyday, I am telling my two kids,
"You can do it!"
"You can do it yourself."
"You just need to calm down, concentrate and learn, and then you will be able to do it."
"It is not that hard at all. Let's give it a try."
"See! Isn't it great that you have learnt how to ... You will never need help from others to do ... now. "
"There is no use to cry. You can fix the broken train track easily."
"You are bored? There are so many interesting things to do."
"Let's read together!"
"Go read a book."
"Have you...?"
"Dinner time!"
"Bed time!"

I kind of wish somebody tells me these all the time.

Another Hamster And After That [maybe]

Since the best hamster in the world has said goodbye, I've decided to get a new one from 'pet world'.
Yesterday, I was deciding that we could go to 'pet world' to buy a new hamster and go to the special event, called 'Feature Creature'. This time the animal they were showing was the Chinchilla. They usually never let you touch them, not like the other small mammals. But this time they will let you because it's for 'Feature Creature'. My mom said yes cause she really wanted to pet the Chinchilla. So, we went.
When we got to the pet store, I immediatly went to the hamsters. We thought there would be new hamsters since a couple of weeks before, but still the old hamsters. I really wanted to get one that exact day. Then I looked at them for a long time and when I was still deciding, 'Feature Creature' started.
It was really cool. We got to touch them, and we learned 2 cool facts!:
1. 1 of our human hairs is equal to 60 Chinchilla hairs
 2. They bathe in crushed lava rock.
After that we got to watch the Chinchilla take a dust bath. Then it was over.
When we were about to go, my mom said we'll wait another week to see if there are any more new baby hamsters that 'pet world' has. Last time we went to 'pet world' there was a lady who told us that baby hamsters only come when the hamsters they have right now, are gone. I was really upset, though we were going to 'Freddy's' to get a free ice cream!
Since 'Dillons' was near by my mom decided that we could go and get some stuff that was on sale. There was bread that was on sale, 5 for $5. Also watermelon. Then we noticed there was this other big sale that when you bought 5 of the things that were marked with the sign, you could get $5 off those 5 things. And we decided to do it. When we were done shopping, I went to the self-checkout. We needed help scanning the watermelon and the coupon, but otherwise I did fine. My little brother punished for running around in the store and not listening. On our way to 'Freddy's!
Then the ice cream! We ate all of it by our self, and my mom was really suprised. I was thinking she wanted some.
This is a story of me trying to get a hamster.

School

It's almost time for the school year to start. Me and my little brother have all our school supplies ready and there are only 3 more days until school starts. We already know a few new kids.
We are all very excited, especially me When school starts there are more things to do and you won't be bored. One thing I'm happy about is that there is still this kind of buck/money thing. At Farmland ES you use 'sparkies', at Sunflower you use 'eagle bucks'. You also get to have 3 parties in 1 school year! There was a teacher that we saw on our tour through the school. She was very friendly, so I think that the other teachers will be nice to! The new way my school is arranged is very weird, though I like it. It's in a circle, and there are different grades in the same pod.
My little brother might have a hard time understanding with a lot more classrooms.[At least more than the classrooms at pre-k]My family is very worried about Nathan/my little brother because he has a hard time paying attention, and he looks different from the other kids. Sometimes the kids there are very mean. I hope there will be a few nice kids that will be willing to make friends with Nathan and me. The school doesn't have much teachers, I think my old school has more teachers because the school is way better than Sunflower ES.
There you have it. The things I'm happy about and what I'm dissapointed about. though I'm still happy it's a school.

Trailer for my next post/blog

This blog/post is just a little trailer article. It is very short just like the trailer for very long movies like my long blogs/posts, so don't change your mind and think I'm not a strong writer. Okay here goes.
Tonight my dad is going to take me and my little bro to Downtown Lawrence to watch a movie called "Space Jam", and there is going to be popcorn! The thing is that it might rain! We might not be able to go and watch the movies, but I'll still tell you about what happend.
It's about a basketball player called "Michael Jordan" who decideds to team up with the worlds most popular cartoon, and save the world. The Looney Toons. Well that's all I know I hope you will watch it too! Bye!!

Swim Night With Just Mommy!

Yesterday evening, me and my mom went swimming together. Only the 2 of us, without Nathan, or Daddy.
It was an okay day, because I had my dentist appointment and my teeth still felt funny. It was a nice evening, because it was hot and we got to go to the swimming pool for 2 dollar tuesday. We got prepared and at the very last minute my little brother wanted to go! We asked him all day and he said: "No" and now he wanted to go. My dad said he couldn't because he wasn't going and no one else would take care of him because me and Mommy already decided it was me and her. So then we left.
When we got to the swimming pool, we had to wait for the person to be done calling, so the person in front of us could go and then we could go. We went inside and then got ready to go swimming.
Of course the water was cold at first, but then we got used to it. I did the breast stroke for a while, and then free style. My mom was following what I did, and then I decided to go on the water slide. When I was done we agreed to go to the lap pool. The water is usually colder in the lap pool, so it also took us a minute to get used to it. We swam across 2 times and then decided to go back to the main pool. Then came the real mother and daughter time.
First we did the styles, and then I learned to do doggy paddle with my mom! My mom said that she thinks I am a little better than her. I think that no matter what she is always the best in my eyes. We did almost every thing together! I made up a new swimming style and much more! That was a great time. We actually swam the longest time possible, because it was almost closing and we even had time to shower!
We went home and saw Nathan and Daddy out side. They were full of sweat and we weren't hot at all. The great day with my mom!

My Trip to the Dentist

Yesterday, I went to the dentist. It was not fun at all. I had 2 tiny cavities, because I didn't go to the dentist for almost 4/3 years. It hurt a little, though the thing that helped my cavities tasted bitter. 2 of the dentists were helping my cavities, and the nurse took the x-ray of my teeth. I just don't like the dentist. Do you?

We went to Science City at Union Station!

Yesterday we went to Science City. We went all the way from Lawrence to Kansas City. It was quite worth the trip, and 2 of my friends were going too! There were lots of exhibits that we got to see and play.
There was one that we went to first, the mysterious Mr. E hotel. There were lots of optical illusions, and things that played tricks with your eyes. One example was that there was a sign and a red line was sort of flashing, but once you shook your head it would appear as a target then after a minute it would look like a question mark. There was another cool one. You need to stare at the circle that was spinning, for 20 seconds. Then look at something and it looks all fuzzy. There was a desk exhibit. You needed to find the most unusual places that open, though you don't think they open when you find out it does.
There is another exhibit, it's called a sky bike and it is on a rope. Then your supposed to ride on it and find out why you aren't falling. You can also tilt it and still stay on the bike, it was really cool!
The water exhibit was also nice, only I didn't play in it. My little brother did, because it was for younger kids.
There was an art studio where you could paint neon glow in the dark paintings. You could create any type of picture that you wanted, and take it home after you let it dry for about 45 minutes in the museum.
Another attraction was the nature center, it had a few animals you've never seen before. There were 2 parrots, a few parakeets, frogs, turtles, a gecko, rabbits, and much more! One cool thing about one of the parrots is that it can say "Hello".
One after another, we went to the tree house. It showed you different types of birds and the songs or sounds that bird made. There was also a wobbly bridge that you could walk on, my little brother liked it very much.
We also visited the magnet discovery area. The staff member would be there to show you how to experiment with them, and you could find out why it was doing that. Though there aren't alot of people that like or want to try.
I don't know if my little brother went to the kinder lab or not, but it was for kindergarteners. And I'm not a kindergartener, so I really don't know what it's like.
There was also a power exhibit. They would let you make power in different ways for different things that needed that power. [But of course, the things that needed power were just for you to look at] Some ways to power it was by biking to run the light bulb, running to run the light, and turning the handle to run a small model of the city.
There was also a place where you could see how things looked like when they went backwards by turning the wheel. There was also a lever that you could pull and see how force works. They would also let you test out balls that have different weights, and test them on different tracks.
I really dislike the place where you learn the history of trains. The train doesn't really let you do anything, but guess what, there are 2 moving trains and my brother just won't stop looking at it.
One of my favorites is the place where it can take picture of your shadow and you can see that your shadow looks different, from your real self.
There was also just a play place. A regular indoor playground, that almost nobody played in. We only played there for a while at the end.
We also went to this place where you had to find 5 different ways to play music. I only found 3 because nothing else looked like it could play music or could play music.
The space attraction was nice too! You got to see what your weight would be on the moon, try to land a space shuttle, what it looked like in the rocket ship or space shuttle, and different facts about different things in space.
My friend went to the dino exhibit, but I only took a look. There was a place that you could find fossils, and look at a model of a dinosaur.
Well I hope you go to science city and look around! Hope you enjoyed!

Another Swim Night!!!!

This evening instead of going to church we went swimming! It was AWESOME!!! This time we went to the out-door pool.
I learned to swim in just 2 weeks, and I know the: Elementary back stroke, Back stroke, and I can almost do Front crawl/Free style, and Breast stroke. These are the tricks I can do: Touch the floor, starfish float, canon float, jellyfish float, and all the kicks and other floats. [Some of the those thing I can do in the water my mom can't] I think I improved alot.
This time since we went to the out-door pool the slide was different, I thought it looked too scary and didn't go on it. The shower area wasn't better one bit. You had to wear your bathing suit while showering. I'll tell you why. There were 2 bathing places connected to each other and nothing blocking the middle. The showering part of the stall had a curtain. The curtain only covered 3/4 of the place you were in. Another thing was that you couldn't even select a temerature! It was plain cold and it didn't feel good. The ground was dirty and was made of cement. I think that the indoor pool was better than the one out-door.
This time the pool doesn't have a bleachy scent like the indoor one, and the park has more obstacles. Like the water gun. And it has a ramp that goes from the deep side to the shallow side. It's also warmer because the sun is there and it won't be that freezing once you get out of the pool.
When  I got in the pool it was really cold and I wanted to get out, but if I got out then I would never get used to the water. Then after it felt ok in the shallow side I got out and jumped into the deep side. Once I got in I started to do free style and breast stroke. I also did some of my floats and tricks! Then me and my parents decided we would go into the lanes so we could do both of the back strokes. After a while, my dad went to go bath, then my grandpa and little brother went along too. Me and my mom decided we would swim just for 2 more minutes and then take a bath. Of course the bathing place wasn't that nice, but we managed to get going. What another day at the pool!

Swimming!!!

Today I'm just going to give you a small passage about what I did at swimming class today.
First, I got ready and I was on my way to swimming class. It was the last class, and we were going on the water slide at the very end of class! And I found out something suprising!
When it was 12:00 we started our lesson and worked our way to success! We always do bobs first [you stick your head in the water and hold your breath], then we did the ring game. The teacher threw the rings, and we would swim over and get it then swim back to the teacher, so we could give it to her and let the next person go.
When the girl before me was going I practiced my freestyle. I ended up doing it correctly! WoW!
Then we go to the deep end. It is soooooo deep there. [it's 3 times or more my height] Of course if you are not comfortable they let you wear a life jacket. We float there because we need to feel what will happen if there is an emergency and we need to swim or float.
Then it was time for the......WATER SLIDE!!!! We had to wait for the life guards to turn the water on and then we got to go on. I was soooo excited and scared, I screamed a little bit at first and then I ended up laughing! It was soooooo cool. I went on it 4 times in like 1 min, then we had to leave.
My mom was super proud of me because I over came my fear. We got our certificate and it said we could enter level 3!!! After I was done washing we went home and I started writing this post/blog for you to read.
That is my little passage I want to tell you. Thanks!

My Dream pt1

One night I had 2 dreams, and the first one had to do with my hamster: Marshmallow. You must read my other post if you do not know her. Well, it all started when I woke up [in my dream]. I found out there were 3 hamsters in the hamster cage. I couldn't believe my eyes! I had 2 new hamsters named: Brownie, and Ice Cream. They were cute though very mischievous.
We had to put them on my brothers train table because 3 was alot to keep in 2 hands. Each liked different foods. I put a bunch in though Each hamster only ate 1 type or 2 types of food. they all wanted food first so I fed them in my hand. It was funny.
And when ever I put my hand there they would all go for my hand and try to get on. If it was my mom, then only Brownie and Marshmallow would run to her hands. If it was my dad only Marshmallow and Ice Cream would go to his hand. And my brother and grandfather wouldn't go try to touch. With friends it was different, the three hamsters would just hide from them.
Marshmallow was the first hamster. She knows every one better, though Brownie and Ice Cream were still getting ready. I think Marshmallow was my favorite. It's hard to decide when they are all SO CUTE!!!! Then the sad part was that Marshmallow died and after a half a year the others did too. It was so sad I couldn't believe my eyes. and now that happend in real life.

I Really Really Really Want A Cat

Dear Mom and Dad,
You got me a hamster named Marshmallow, then she died, you got me a hamster named Hershey, then she died. And the same with C.C and Lollipop. I really want a dog. I love pets. This is a big opportunity. A new dog could be the sweetest and cutest animal you've ever seen. If we spend time with him, all our electronic time would be used. I would feed him and play with him and do everything with him. I will also give him water. I won't forget to do the things I'm supposed to do. I already took super good care of my mice and hamsters!  I know you'll have a little spark inside saying, "Sophie is responsible, she can do it" . You're probably saying we will have to feed him 3 or 2 times a day, we will have to get him a litter box, we will have to give him attention, we will have to get him a toy, we will have to find him a place to sleep, we also have to let him on the bed, and we will spend a lot of money, and lots of other things. And I see why there can't be a "yes" to this "want" situation, And I know it's hard. Though I just want you to feel how much I want it, and I know why you guys will not let me have one, but I just want a chance to play with a bigger animal/pet and have some fun.
Your daughter who understands you don't have to agree,
Sophie

Good bye, Marshmallow

During the past few days, Marshmallow behaved abnormal. She did not sleep much during the day and she bit us a lot. Yesterday morning, I found her dead. Both Sophie and I are very sad, we miss her a lot. Although she was just with us for a month, we are so used to greet her every morning, play with her during the day, say good night to her everyday. Sophie is too sad to write this blog, so I am doing it. Maybe we won't have a hamster for a long time because we just miss our own Marshmallow.

"Hopscotch" Designs!

I am a very creative person! I love to do lots of types of art. Are you that kind of person then I think "Hopscotch" is a perfect app that you can use. I'll tell you why.
"Hopscotch" is about programing so you can make a project that others can try to play or watch. It lets you use different types of computer blocks that make the object do what you want it to do. Some of the blocks tell the object how to do it, some tell where the object do it the action, and some can even be programmed to draw the object! Once you're done and publish it, people can star or like if they think it's cool or funny or if they just like it. One last detail, it lets you be creative and use your imagination.
One day my mom told me she got a new app for me. I found out that it was a programing app called "Hopscotch". Since I didn't know how and what to do, my mom showed me how and what to do. After, we looked at some other projects other people made. Then I came up with an idea and started working on it. I was making a Chile flag. I needed to make the recipe so it can do exactly everything I want it to do, in which ever order I want.
My mom showed me what uses were the blocks for. I started working on my project, Some of the blocks I used were: set speed to, set line color to, set line width, set value........to, move with trail distance, change value...... by, and lots more!
Then I published my program, it will let you name your program and let you design your "Hopscotch" name. Once I published I got 3 stars in just 1/2 a minute! That's how you know if it is a good program or a not-so-well made. And if you don't have an idea you can look at the idea of the week by a group called the "Hopscotch Team". They will let you remix their idea and call it your own.
Now that you know what "Hopscotch" is sort of like you can download the app on your ipad and try it out yourself. Just be creative anything will do, just try to make some thing you want to do. Try ''Hopscotch"!

My Roborovski Hamster Named: Marshmallow

I have a super cute little hamster! Her name is marshmallow I got her on 6/26/2014. We were going to "Checkers" (a grocery store) and I saw this store called "Pet World". I've always wanted a pet, no matter how big or how small. And finally I asked if we could go look at the pets..... And they said yes! When we were checking out, one of my friends from Maryland called. {I just moved from Maryland to Kansas a couple of weeks ago}Her name was Grace/Bojie. I was sooooooo happy to talk to my friends!
We got to "Pet World"! It was so cool! The parrots cage had no roof! Neither did the other animals have any roof to their cage either! There were small amphibians and mammals! Like porcupines, chinchillas, and iguanas, not like the pet store in Maryland. And as always there are....fish. I told my friend all about it, but her mom said since we were at the pet store, we should enjoy looking at them. The time came when we were almost about to leave. My mom asked me if I wanted to hold a roborovski/robo hamster. I said yes, and she helped me pick her up.
My mom said they were sooooo cute and asked if I wanted one. I said Yes PLEASE!!!!!! Though she said if daddy also agrees we can get it. I asked him and he didn't look so sure, but said yes anyway. I was soooooo happy! I went to go ask a staff member and she helped us get all our things ready. The food, chew blocks, and tips to help us take care of the hamster. We didn't get the cage though, because my mom said that we can use a plastic box that we store our clothes in. The staff member told us one last thing. She told us she was 6 months old, then we went to check out.
When we got home I found out how to make bedding for her, gave her a name, gave her the chew blocks, made her a tunnel, a place to drink water, a place to eat and we got her a wheel a week  after that.
Now I teach her tricks! She is sooo energetic. I researched again and found out she is the smallest and fastest dwarf hamster, and that you don't need to get a bag of hamster food, just some regular human food! Now I even put posts up about her, like this blog. I was very amazed by how quickly she learned her name!
I am pretty lucky to have a pet like her! Don't you think?

Pizza and Breakfast

I want pizza for breakfast and there are many reasons why. I'll tell you why right now.

First of all, pizza contains healthy ingredients, well some healthy ingredients, for example cheese that's from the dairy group, tomato sauce that's from the veggie group, sausage or pepperoni {if you have them on your pizza} from the protein group, and the crust which is from the grain group. Also because the pizza that we have is spicy. You like spicy things, so since my wonderful {who might give me pizza} mom likes to eat spicy things, don't you think that I should eat spicy things too just like my mom? Well I think so because then I can pass it down to my children.

Another reason is that we only eat small portions of the pizza. We don't eat that much! Well at least less than you because we're only children and I understand that grownups eat more than kids so you might only want to give it to children. And I am a child so maybe you should give it to me. There is a reason that follows along with this reason and it is my little bro. He is so cute! And I'm his sister so most of his cuteness comes from me. If I were his age right now I'd probably be cuter, doesn't mean I'm older I don't get less attention. And who can't give pizza to adorable children. At least I can't think of any people who don't.

Next reason is that, you can have pizza too! We just want some, I'm not saying you can't have any. Of course there is no limit. The other reason is when we're older we can earn money for you when you are retired and have to stay at home. Also, I'm your daughter. You can let your daughter get a treat once in a while. Next, is that I make you tons of cards and awesome presents even when it's not a holiday. Also, now I set the table, I make delicious smoothies, and cold popsicles for you.

Lastly, we love each other and care for each other and that reason I don't need to explain. I hope you think about what I said and how much love there is in this essay.

                                              Thank you!!

my diamond ear rings!

By mommy.

During the past few years, I have always been looking for a pair of diamond ear rings daddy bought me on a Valentine's day. I always put valuable things in some random "safe" places then forget about them. That could be exactly what happened to those ear rings. Today I read some very old blog posts and found out Sophie flushed them down the drain over 4 years ago. What a relief!! I can stop wondering and searching for them from now on.

My First Blog (by S)

                                                                        My First Blog
I decided to write my first blog today 6/24/2014. It is very funny that you are just writing and it's not used for lots of uses. Today I went to the dentist I got lots of prizes and 2 free coupons for frozen yogurt and kiddie cookies. Sometimes the dentist is very useful for fun and teeth and treats. My friends are in maryland I feel super sad and lonely and bored. Thank you for listening to my first blog I can't think of much to say on my first day. Bye! Thanks for reading!

Parents/grandparents are truly awesome.

Chinese people (maybe not only Chinese) consider grandparents and elderlies are a treasure of a family. It is true to my family.

My father insisted buying a hand truck, which is a lifesaver during this move. My father-in-law has done most of the hard work, which include packing up all the useful and useless stuff, loading and organizing the trailer, unload the trailer, sorting things in places in our new home.

We get to sleep on bed tonight!

We had to sleep on the floor for almost a week. Tonight, we get to sleep on our bed again in our new home!

Sophie and daddy sleep together on the queen size bed, Nathan and I sleep together on the twin size bed. I don't remember how it ends up this way.

Back to Lawrence

It almost feels like Lawrence is prepared for our return. Daddy's KU ID and email remains the same. All the utility companies give us our old accounts back. Public library claims they delete accounts that have not been active for over 3 years. Miraculously, mine still exists, only needs an update. I even found my old library card with little effort.

Packing and moving

To me, move every 4 to 5 years is actually great. I hoard too many things and most of my stuff are unsorted and unorganized. Moving is a great opportunity to get rid of junks and keep things in place.

Probably both my my father-in-law and I find difficult to do packing with each other because I want to throw many things away while he ties to keep everything.

This blog

I started this blog when Sophie was a couple of month old. No matter how eagerly I am to hand over this blog to my kids, so far I have been then only author here. Recently I started writing in English because not everyone of my friends is fluent in Chinese. Please note, here "Daddy" refers to my husband, the kids' dad. My grandparents are mine, not the kids'.
Thanks to everyone for caring and visiting.

Parents/grandparents are awesome.

You never know what they are going to bring you when they come to visit. My in-laws brought a bottle of baby power belonged to my husband when he was a baby. My parents brought a couple of dictionaries I used when I was in elementary school.

What is the meaning of life?

Could there be any other topic bigger than this one? Maybe. Maybe not.

Daddy came back home this past long weekend. On Monday I was trying to pack up two suite cases for him to take to Kansas, that means I have to go through some of my belongings. Through years, I have accumulated so many "stuff" that I no longer need or use, but I would never want to throw away. Among those are many dresses and skirts, from my grandma who loved to buy pieces of cloth and pay tailors to make pants and all kinds of clothes, most of which have bright colors and flowery patterns, and most are soft 100% cotton materials. For various reasons, I rarely wear these clothes and I store them everywhere. Every time when I re-organize my stuff, I can find a ton of them. My heart can always sense the warmth and love from Grandma when seeing and touching these clothes.

Back to the question. To me, the answer is so simple, L-O-V-E.

Do all things with love!

Tonight I ate two of the four pieces of Dove chocolate in my mother's day gift from Sophie. Sophie and Nathan each got one piece. I threw away my wrappers before realizing there is one message on the inside of each wrapper. Now the kids are sleeping, I saw the trash can and dug out my wrappers. Both give the same message.

Do all things with love!

Peekaboo! I find you!

adjusting

I am trying very hard to adjust to life with two kids and a father-in-law, but without work. Definitely I should try not to think and worry about anything else when I am spending time with the kids.

Sophie
