My day today
In NJ everything is different and new to me. Though I'm really happy because this labor day weekend I get to go to 2 amusement parks! I wish i could have gone with a few friends, but we don't have too many close friends here in NJ. I'm excited and want to write about my first time to Hershey Park. Dutch wonderland is for younger kids and I've already been there before. So, I'm not as excited about that. I'm nervous for school to start. I wonder if I'll make any new friends. I know that you're supposed to go to school just to learn, but I really want to make friends. I want to make a goal to read my bible everyday too. I hope that I will have a good bible study time tonight. I don't enjoy it as much as the Friday Fellowship at LCEC in Lawrence. We always have better bible study lessons and it's much more fun. In Lawrence we learn more about God, and we have much more fun. Here in NJ we barely do any lesson and playing with these people is not very fun. I haven't made any fun memories to tell my friends about back home. We went to the open house at my new school a couple of days ago. There are quite a few new kids, but none of them in my opinion are good enough friends for me. Back in Lawrence, all my friends were cheerful, happy, and we talked about the funniest things. Though i guess the new kids were just nervous and shy, so they didn't really want to talk and socialize as much. When we went to go visit our classrooms, everyone was saying hi to their friends, and all the parents were socializing with each other too. It just felt like we were out of place. I had tons of friends back at my old school, and if i were still in Lawrence, i would have been in the same school as DingDing, Emma, and Lauren. At least i get to go to Winter Retreat with them!! I really miss them because I have no friends here, but i think I'll be able to make more friends here in New Jersey. I'm glad I'm still with my family. It makes me feel safe. I hope I'll be ok.
Dear Future Self
Dear Sophie,
This is you from the past. You are 11 years old right now. Nathan is 7 years old, Mommy and Daddy are still young, and Daddy only has 1 white hair so far. You just moved from Kansas and still miss Kansas very much. You can't wait for CWC in Kansas City. Right now you and Mommy keep a journal and write notes to each other, but don't use it very often. Daddy takes you and Nathan to Mathnasium every Tuesday and Thursday. The family goes to church on Sunday and Friday at PCC and you pray 3-4 times a day. You also think PCC is horrible compared to LCEC. Mommy works from home and Daddy works in Branchburg. Right now the family is happy together.
11 year old Sophie goes to LMS and your doing good. You are doing good in all your classes, you get your homework done on time, and your making lots of friends. Family and Consumer Sciences is your favorite subject and Chorus is your 2nd favorite. Math is a good level for you, Science is pretty boring(, but sometimes interesting), Language Arts is teaching you how to become a much better writer and is inspiring you to write this letter, and you also have Social Studies which has lots of fun hands on activities. School has been in session for 1 month now and you have had Picture Day. You wore the dress with the golden glittery heart that says love and an all black bottom skirt part. They had lots of experience and preparation at this school. Much more efficient than Kansas and Maryland. School is good so far.
You miss your church friends in Lawrence VERY much. They email you everyday and you email them back. You guys want to go to CWC so bad that they've created a countdown. PCC is much more efficient, but the bible study content is not as good. The people in Lawrence are nicer too. Southwest would've been fun since DingDing would've seen you everyday. The BIGGEST thing your worried about is the summer time. They will probably have much more fun in Lawrence while you have to stay in New Jersey.
Your a pretty decent good baker so far for your age, but I'm sure you've gotten a lot better since you were 11. You really wish you could make treats and bring them to the kids at the hospital and make them happy, or do a bake sale. You probably have a Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer, have made macarons, and made sponge cake too! I think you might be in a cooking club right now or something like that. I hope your still baking!
I hope you haven't thrown away your baby blanket yet. I think your probably going to keep it for your entire life and I hope you do. I also want you to keep the baby whale stuffed animal. I still have my box full of stuff you did when you were in Kindergarten and 1st Grade and probably some of the other grades too. I've still kept the little bag of pictures that were taken in China. Right now our Berenstain Bear book collection is still there. Mommy hasn't took as many pictures and printed them out, but she still takes some and keeps them on her phone.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Stay happy,
Sophie from 10-12-16

A pet
I really want a dog. my mom says i have to wait for the right dog to come to me. though i don't want to wait. it is really hard not to have a pet. i really want a pet. but mommy says i cannot have another hamster. and when there is no hamster there is no way that i can get a different pet. i don't want to waste money on a pet but i really want a pet. we don't have much money for extra things so i shouldn't be asking for a pet but t can get lonely without a pet. i guess i might get a pet if we move but i don't want to make new friends. i want to stay HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!WAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CWC #2
Once again we were going to another camp to study about the bible and this time only a few of the our church families came. My family came, Ding Ding and Lily's family came, Luna and her mom came, and Joshua's family came. I should probably start with the road trip......
We were all packed up with everything on the car and we went to an apartment place to go pick up Unice. She is a very kind woman and brought the life of everything in the car. I was impressed by her knowledge of the highways we were driving on. Most highways seem the same to me. Well, we dropped by McDonald's to get some dinner since we were running late and couldn't get to the camp's dinner in time. {Also, the reason why we were late is because my dad had a meeting and the time changed from 2:00 to 4:00.} Anyway, back with McDonald's. We ordered 20 chicken nuggets in 2 10 chicken nugget boxes, lots of fries, and 2 quarter pound cheeseburgers. We had to get that many chicken nuggets since they are so good! And funny thing about the fries, I ate Unice's since she didn't want them. We headed back on the road, met up with Unice's husband, took a few wrong turns, and finally got there.
After we found where our cabin was, we parked our car to the nearest spot that was left. Then we headed straight to classes since we were 1 hour late. I headed into the kids place and found out that I had to be in YOUTH!!!! I was terrified when I got in there, everyone was so old and I was so YOUNG!!!! When everyone started talking they all had low voices except for Ding Ding. We were in the middle of the movie and I was so shaky and afraid to say anything until Ding Ding started playing cards with the other kids and they all seemed nice to a person like Ding Ding, so why not. I was still unhappy about the arrangement I was in, but I didn't know what was going to be ahead of me. We unpacked all our stuff and got ready for sleep and I was still worried about Youth.
Then it was morning and probably one of the most interesting things happened that morning. The adults had 30 min. for morning prayer so the kids were in the kid's place playing and waiting. There Luna and Joshua and I were talking and it was so much fun! That morning we also made friends with these 2 boys Jerry and Jacob. Jacob was so cute! He was 6 or 5 years old and he was also really nice. Jerry liked me from the beginning and only admitted he like me on the last day. If you wanted to know, they looked exactly alike, Jerry was older and he was 9, Jerry hates rice, they both love sports, Jacob loves fries, and Jerry loves fruit. Funny thing was he sat at our table and we already knew each other, but our parents just got to know each other. My mom was surprised that we already knew each other, but I guess it was in God's plan. We talked a lot and I was so relieved that the breakfast was good. I just had to wait for lunch to make my decision if the food was bad or not. Next class session here we come.
This time Ding Ding, and Lily were there. I guess they're just deep sleepers, but anyway Jacob and Jerry hung out with us now. Now they were like BFFs. Youth had to do bible studies and the little kids sat there and played. That morning we also went outside and we found out there was a seesaw! I was so happy!! I played there for such a long time and then we had to go inside. Then of course there was lunch and I decided that the food here was AMAZING!!!!
There were tons of other classes and were pretty much all the same, so I'll just tell you about what happened at break time/nap time/quiet time. Since Jerry and Jacob's family and Ding Ding and Lily's family had to sleep, Me, Luna, and Joshua talked the whole time since we weren't sleepy. It was so fun! Then, we had about another hour to do whatever we wanted and then class came again. Then dinner and then class then dessert, then sleep. Here's the basic schedule of the whole day.
That's our basic schedule and people come around ringing bells so that we know when to do this and what time it is. Most of the stuff is pretty much just like the Winter Retreat CWC. Every thing was so nice there. The next day is was my turn to set up the tables for lunch. It was Me, Ding Ding, Daniel, and Tracy. That day lunch was the best lunch ever! We had pasta/so-called noodles, and the most delicious cause came with it! It had meat, tomatoes, and something else. Well, that day for Break time/Nap time/Quiet time, us 3 took videos and selfies with a selfie stick and Josh's mom's phone.
It was so much fun and I want to come here again next year. That's it. Whew.

Now i am in New Jersey and i am not able to go anymore.
