Today is Saturday and it is Halloween, I had an awesome Halloween party at my school yesterday. Nathan was sick, so he had to stay home. I thought the party was really fun first we did our Halloween parade indoors, then we got our food, next we started playing games, and after that we received lots of candy as prizes for the games, but even if we got 1st place, everyone would just get the same amount.
"It's time for the parade" Mr.Diacon announced on the speaker. We all gathered in the pod and the kindergarteners were walking first. Everyone had great costumes, but in my opinion it wasn't really that exciting to see EVERYONE's costumes, even though some were pretty interesting. It was actually kind of boring. When it was finally our turn, it was boring too because no one was even WATCHING US!!!!!
Then, after we came back from the parade, we had our food and settled down in our seats. After that, I looked at my plate, I had quite a few things on it. I had a red velvet cupcake, a bowl of chips with a homemade dipping sauce, a bottle of apple juice, and a cup of jello with gummy worms on top.
At the Halloween party we played 2 really fun games. 1 of them was a monster poop game, there were 10 pieces of poop/some kind of food covered in chocolate, and we had to guess what the monster ate/what kind of food was covered in chocolate. It was super fun, and my team got 7 right! Some of the things were weird, the one I tried was beef jerky poop, blueberry poop, grape poop, gum poop, and Oreo poop. There was also lemon poop, wasabi pea poop, and a few more.
The next Halloween game we played was the witch stew ingredient guessing game. We stuck our hands in a bowl of something and we had to guess what kind of body part it was most like. Though the parent who was hosting that game, wasn't really clear on the instructions. So, I didn't like that game as much, and I'm not going to talk about this game anymore.
Then, we went home and I still had my costume on. Read my next blog and figure out what kind of things I did on the real Halloween.

About the Famous Austin TX
About the Famous Austin TX
In about a week or two, my family will probably be traveling to Texas. One of the cities we are going to visit is Austin, which is what I'm going to talk about. Hope you enjoy.
Some attractions in this marvelous city are, the state monument [which is actually 7 ft taller than the capitol building in DC] , The Austin's Children Museum, the bat watch every evening under Congress Ave Bridge, Inner Space Cavern tours, The Austin Zoo, The Austin Aquarium, Zilker Park, Indoor Sky Diving, 6th St, Reserved Duck Tours, and Barton & Hamilton Pool.
Some facts about this great city is that they have the largest football stadium in the world!!! They also have tons of music shows across 6th street, and has the colorado river just pass by downtown! But beware for your child's eyes mainly if your going to a lake where people do tanning, since there is no rule for women to be topless! Austin also has a race track of its own called Formula One! Even though it's not as popular as the NASCAR in the US, it is still very well known throughout the world and the only one in the US.
Austin sounds like a wonderful place for vacation with so many places to go!

Nathan

My Birthday
I am really nervous about my birthday with so many stuff to plan. We're having it at Muddy Waters Studio. I only invited 5 people, but I still think it'll be fun. My birthday party is going to be on the 14th at 1:30 pm. I really hope the real birthday celebration will be fun. I'll tell you the story once it has happened.
Wow, it happened, but forgot to write all of it down during that day! So, I'll tell you know:
I was really excited when I got to the studio. I dashed in and was looking all around that small little place. I sat down and then my friend Lauren came in, then Macie, then Alicia, then May and Gayla. I was super happy they all came. The owner of the place was telling us how to do the 2 projects we were making. They was a castle and a pot or bowl etc.
I decided to do my pot on the pottery wheel first, I grabbed a piece of clay splashed some water on it and started the wheel. It was REALLY fun, this is the order of the steps:
-Making a dome shape the make it stable
-Drilling a hole in it with your finger
-Pulling the walls into the right shape
-Just shape it because I forgot the rest of the steps
Then after we got to make 2 pieces pottery my group went on to the castle, while the other group went on to the pottery wheel.
We started with 2 flattened pieces of clay. These are the steps:
First we sprayed some cooking oil and printed a kind of pattern on the pieces of clay.
Then we shaped it out with the shape tracer to get the kind of shape to model our castle roof and shaped it.
After we were done with the roof we did the same thing with the base.
Lastly, we created a floor for the castle and added some decorations.
Soon, it was time to clean up and we washed the table and the pottery wheels.
Then it was time to say good-bye and only May, Gayla, and Lauren came with me.
They went to our house, but I won't tell you what we did in this post. I'll tell you in the other post.

The Choir Wichita Trip
I am in the choir that won a opportunity to perform Wichita because we were one of the best 3 choirs in all of Kansas. I got car sick on the way there, but at least I didn't puke and we got to watch 3 movies to Wichita and back.
At the buffet we ate at was really cool! It had a chocolate fountain that you could dip Rice Krispies or marshmallows in , mini pies on cute square dishes, and tons of other cool things! I had a very nice lunch, and it was pretty entertaining too!
The big performance was really exciting! We performed in a room with yellow walls, and a flowery carpet. It was nice, but not as many people came as I expected. It was kind of nice, but not really a WOW performance. Then we had our pictures taken, the people that stood on the risers must have had fun because when you get your pictures taken they want to see your entire body, so they stood on real high steps. Unlucky for me because I had to stand on the floor.
The trip was a really fun experience! I think that choir is a fun way to sing and express your feelings.

A Pretty Cool Weekend
Today was a nice Sunday to enjoy. I got to make cheese cupcakes with my mom. They were our 3rd time making them and the most successful we've ever made and just to let us remember the recipe I have made the recipe in another post. I think baking is really fun and pretty interesting to add certain ingredients to other ingredients. We also made something cool that you might be interested in, but you'll only find out in my next post. Now listen to my story.
Today was Sunday and I got to go to the supermarket with my parents and no one else, but first we were heading to the Michaels craft store to get supplies for a project at school. I got 4 different kinds of felt and eyes for my project. I got 4 different colored pieces of felt and they were :
We went to the library and I saw the horrible ice rink again. It was only plastic and nothing else. When I got inside we returned the books in through the electric book slot. We checked out our books, played a while at the play station and said hi to our friends. After Nathan took one last look at the elevator we walked to the parking garage and drove home.
I practiced my piano and then went on to my project. It was almost complete. Then my dad said I had to leave for piano lessons.
I did very well on my piano and we went home and ate dinner. After a few touches all I needed was the last part of my project and I was done, though I saved it to do for tomorrow since on Monday was MLK day. Then I enjoyed my evening making cheese cupcakes.
Me and my mom made excellent cheese cupcakes that everyone loved and they were the best batch ever! They were tasty and tasted awesome, with a crust and a cheesy taste.
Then the next day I finished the last part of the project and I put the final touches to it.

A Letter For Mom
Dear Mommy,
I know you have not been satisfied with my effort, but to tell you I really like art. I hope you just understand that, and I will use my effort to do art. I will paint a picture each day and show it to you. This is what I want to continue on. It may be true I don't like piano the best, but it will not be my favorite. Art is what you might see me doing more and I won't just randomly paint something I will work hard to improve my pictures each day. So, if you don't mind a little noise while you're working I will work inside the room. I like that a lot and I have seen that. So let me do art and never throw away my art kit or my paper pad.
Please forgive me!,
[your daughter who loves you no matter what] Sophie Wang
P.S I will play piano for fun.
