Pizza and Breakfast

I want pizza for breakfast and there are many reasons why. I'll tell you why right now.

First of all, pizza contains healthy ingredients, well some healthy ingredients, for example cheese that's from the dairy group, tomato sauce that's from the veggie group, sausage or pepperoni {if you have them on your pizza} from the protein group, and the crust which is from the grain group. Also because the pizza that we have is spicy. You like spicy things, so since my wonderful {who might give me pizza} mom likes to eat spicy things, don't you think that I should eat spicy things too just like my mom? Well I think so because then I can pass it down to my children.

Another reason is that we only eat small portions of the pizza. We don't eat that much! Well at least less than you because we're only children and I understand that grownups eat more than kids so you might only want to give it to children. And I am a child so maybe you should give it to me. There is a reason that follows along with this reason and it is my little bro. He is so cute! And I'm his sister so most of his cuteness comes from me. If I were his age right now I'd probably be cuter, doesn't mean I'm older I don't get less attention. And who can't give pizza to adorable children. At least I can't think of any people who don't.

Next reason is that, you can have pizza too! We just want some, I'm not saying you can't have any. Of course there is no limit. The other reason is when we're older we can earn money for you when you are retired and have to stay at home. Also, I'm your daughter. You can let your daughter get a treat once in a while. Next, is that I make you tons of cards and awesome presents even when it's not a holiday. Also, now I set the table, I make delicious smoothies, and cold popsicles for you.

Lastly, we love each other and care for each other and that reason I don't need to explain. I hope you think about what I said and how much love there is in this essay.

                                              Thank you!!

my diamond ear rings!

By mommy.

During the past few years, I have always been looking for a pair of diamond ear rings daddy bought me on a Valentine's day. I always put valuable things in some random "safe" places then forget about them. That could be exactly what happened to those ear rings. Today I read some very old blog posts and found out Sophie flushed them down the drain over 4 years ago. What a relief!! I can stop wondering and searching for them from now on.

My First Blog (by S)

                                                                        My First Blog
I decided to write my first blog today 6/24/2014. It is very funny that you are just writing and it's not used for lots of uses. Today I went to the dentist I got lots of prizes and 2 free coupons for frozen yogurt and kiddie cookies. Sometimes the dentist is very useful for fun and teeth and treats. My friends are in maryland I feel super sad and lonely and bored. Thank you for listening to my first blog I can't think of much to say on my first day. Bye! Thanks for reading!

Parents/grandparents are truly awesome.

Chinese people (maybe not only Chinese) consider grandparents and elderlies are a treasure of a family. It is true to my family.

My father insisted buying a hand truck, which is a lifesaver during this move. My father-in-law has done most of the hard work, which include packing up all the useful and useless stuff, loading and organizing the trailer, unload the trailer, sorting things in places in our new home.

We get to sleep on bed tonight!

We had to sleep on the floor for almost a week. Tonight, we get to sleep on our bed again in our new home!

Sophie and daddy sleep together on the queen size bed, Nathan and I sleep together on the twin size bed. I don't remember how it ends up this way.

Back to Lawrence

It almost feels like Lawrence is prepared for our return. Daddy's KU ID and email remains the same. All the utility companies give us our old accounts back. Public library claims they delete accounts that have not been active for over 3 years. Miraculously, mine still exists, only needs an update. I even found my old library card with little effort.

Packing and moving

To me, move every 4 to 5 years is actually great. I hoard too many things and most of my stuff are unsorted and unorganized. Moving is a great opportunity to get rid of junks and keep things in place.

Probably both my my father-in-law and I find difficult to do packing with each other because I want to throw many things away while he ties to keep everything.

This blog

I started this blog when Sophie was a couple of month old. No matter how eagerly I am to hand over this blog to my kids, so far I have been then only author here. Recently I started writing in English because not everyone of my friends is fluent in Chinese. Please note, here "Daddy" refers to my husband, the kids' dad. My grandparents are mine, not the kids'.
Thanks to everyone for caring and visiting.

Parents/grandparents are awesome.

You never know what they are going to bring you when they come to visit. My in-laws brought a bottle of baby power belonged to my husband when he was a baby. My parents brought a couple of dictionaries I used when I was in elementary school.

What is the meaning of life?

Could there be any other topic bigger than this one? Maybe. Maybe not.

Daddy came back home this past long weekend. On Monday I was trying to pack up two suite cases for him to take to Kansas, that means I have to go through some of my belongings. Through years, I have accumulated so many "stuff" that I no longer need or use, but I would never want to throw away. Among those are many dresses and skirts, from my grandma who loved to buy pieces of cloth and pay tailors to make pants and all kinds of clothes, most of which have bright colors and flowery patterns, and most are soft 100% cotton materials. For various reasons, I rarely wear these clothes and I store them everywhere. Every time when I re-organize my stuff, I can find a ton of them. My heart can always sense the warmth and love from Grandma when seeing and touching these clothes.

Back to the question. To me, the answer is so simple, L-O-V-E.
